Vriendelijke groet,
Hetty en Frans van der Hargh
Dear Mr. Monty,
Watching frequently (also in Holland !!) your programme Gardenersworld on Friday evening, I would like to have an answer to the following question about the Tibouchina Nana blue.
In our garden of 125 m2 we do have very nice plants, amongst which a Tibouchina in a large pot (40 x 40 cm square). Known as an orangery plant, which bloomed exuberant with numerous flowers in the last summer and autumn, we tried to protect the plants for heavy frost, by packing them in bubble wrap and during winter we did no watering. Now, after winter is running out and spring is coming, we have to take care for pruning in the right way, so that numerous flowers are garanteed for the summermonths to come. Could you give me some advice in order to take care for the enrichment as mentioned before? Also what type of soil we preferably have to use. Is there a necessity to enriche the soil with ….??
Quite often you mentioned in your programmes that soil should not be mixed by peat, while in Holland most of the time gardencentres give an opposite advice. Which types of soil i.e. for pots do you prefer and what is the exact name in English
Tibouchina Nana blue
We hereby send you 4 pictures of the season past and by “We Transfer” we have the possibility of sending you a trial movie (mp4) that we made ourselves.
Thank you for all your valuable information in your programmes. We hope to be enjoyed by you and your guests many more times to come.
Best regards from Holland, near Gouda; we wish a lot of succes with your programmes in the new season.
